Overview: NBX ConneXtions is an H.323 gateway that enables organizations with NBX 100 systems to connect via IP networks to other telephone systems equipped with H.323 gateways. By using the data network to connect multiple locations, NBX ConneXtions provides the benefits of traditional telephone tie-line and off-premise extension (OPX) circuits at a much lower cost. Unlike other H.323 gateways, NBX ConneXtions enables audio to travel throughout the LAN and across the WAN as packetized audio, thus eliminating multiple digital-to-analog conversions across the communications path. Other H.323 clients can log into the gateway to become recognized extensions of the NBX 100 system.
