Overview: This is an Octal Sync Intelligent Link Module w/64MB, supporting 32 Contexts Supporting Hardware-based Data Compression.It features FRE-060 Processing Engine by a Motorola 68060 60Mhz processor, Hardware-based Data Compression that enables more efficient use of access lines to PPP and Frame Relay, Up to an aggregate compressed throughput of 16 Mbps per Octal Sync Link Module. It is fully interoperable with Bay Networks Software. Support for two compression modes provides compression efficiency and provides resynchronization should line integrity degrade. Configurable dictionary size maximizes wide area network performance by allowing an increased history size to be maintained at each end of the compressed connection.
